What`s new in Phys. Ed...
Basketball Season is in full force as 4 St. Emile teams are just getting their seasons started.
Our Sr. boys and girls teams play games on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout February and March. Drop by the Phys. Ed. office for a game schedule or complete monthly practice and game schedule.
St. Emile has fielded 2 Jr. boys teams this year due to the overwhelming interest shown by the grade 6, 7, and 8 boys. Both of our Jr. teams play games on Tuesdays and Thursdays until mid March.
We would love to see you out on the sidelines to cheer on the Huskies.
GO HUSKIES!!!
Running Club / Indoor Track
Grade Four, Five, and Six students will be participating in three Track and Field Meets held at the Max Bell Center (University of Manitoba). The Bison Elementary Relays are on Thursday, February 2nd, the Boeing Indoor Elementary Relays are on Tuesday, March 1st, and the Athletics MB Elementary Relays are on Tuesday, March 16th. Students will participate in the 4 x 200 m relay, 8 x 40 m shuttle relay, 4 x 1 shot-put, and 4 x 1 standing long jump. The meets take place between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. All students will be transported by chartered bus to and from the meets. Students will train for these events three times a week and will be entered on a team. We would ask that they attend Tuesday morning practices at 8:00 a.m. The other two practices will be on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:20 p.m. Permission slips and medical information forms will be going home with students shortly. Parents are welcome to come to the meets to cheer our teams on.
